Website

The website for Sequoia Therapy aims to provide information about the services offered and to provide contact information as well. The goal of this project was to achieve this in a more effective way.

Project Overview

Target Audience

Sequoia Massage Therapy serves adults across the Atlanta metro area seeking relief from chronic pain, sciatica, lower back issues, and neck injuries. The client base includes a significant share of athletes and runners requiring sports massage and deep tissue therapy, as well as working professionals seeking stress relief and regular wellness treatments. The core demographic falls within the 25-55 age range, with an emphasis on individuals leading active lifestyles or managing recurring musculoskeletal discomfort.

Problem Statement

The existing website, while functional, suffered from a dated visual design, low-resolution imagery, and inconsistent page performance that impacted both user experience and PageSpeed scores. Calls-to-action such as “Book Online” were present but lacked visual prominence, resulting in a layout that did not effectively guide visitors toward conversion. Additionally, the site’s mobile responsiveness and overall structure fell short of modern UX standards, limiting engagement and booking rates despite having strong foundational content.

Project Duration

Based on the project scope, which included a design refresh, performance optimization, and content restructuring, the project was completed within a 2-3 week timeline. The first week was dedicated to a full site audit and design planning, the second week focused on development and implementation within Elementor, and the final phase covered testing, speed optimization, and client revisions before launch.

The Approach

The project began with a comprehensive audit of the existing site to identify performance bottlenecks, design inconsistencies, and conversion gaps. Based on these findings, a refreshed visual layout was implemented within Elementor, prioritizing clean typography, improved imagery, and stronger visual hierarchy to better reflect the brand’s professional, wellness-focused identity. Key user journeys, particularly the booking flow, were restructured with clearer, more prominent calls-to-action to reduce friction between visitor and appointment. On the technical side, optimization efforts targeted image compression, render-blocking resources, and overall load speed to improve PageSpeed scores without compromising design quality. Throughout the process, changes were tested across devices to ensure consistent performance and a seamless mobile experience.

Homepage

The homepage was redesigned to immediately communicate the brand’s core message, “Live Life and don’t let Life Live You,” paired with a stronger, more visible call-to-action above the fold. The “What We Do” section was restructured to give equal visual weight to all six massage services (Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Sports, Acupressure, and Trigger Point), making it easier for visitors to quickly identify the treatment they need. Trust-building elements such as the founder introduction, client testimonials, and FAQs were repositioned for better flow, guiding visitors naturally from awareness to booking with minimal scrolling friction.

Mobile Experience

The site was optimized for mobile with touch-friendly navigation, compressed images for faster load times, and a consistently visible booking CTA throughout the user journey.
